Scan Energy is an independent power producer dedicated to renewable energy sources.

Wind and Solar

Our current production is based on wind and solar (PV) power with Germany and Spain as our most important markets. We also operate wind farms in France and Denmark and are presently constructing an additional wind farm in Poland.

Solar power based on photovoltaic (PV) technologies is a relatively new business area in Scan Energy. Today, we have solar (PV) power plants in operation in Germany and Spain, and we are constructing a new solar capacity in Spain and Italy.

In addition to Scan Energy's projects in operation, we currently have a development pipeline consisting of wind and solar (PV) projects with an envisaged gross capacity of approximately 488 MW - including projects already under construction.

The political agenda

Today’s political agenda underpins Scan Energy’s business objectives. Since the company was formed in 2003, we have seen support for renewable energy steadily increase, and its development is boosted by targets for reducing environmental impacts defined by the UN, the EU and national governments.
